We wish to breathe new life into unwanted, non-functioning, or forgotten musical gear and to lessen the need to spend natural resources making new instruments.

We gather instruments, accessories, and sheet music and either turn them into new decor and gifts or restore them to optimal playing condition, helping to create a marketplace for clean, affordable, and functional instruments.
our story
Tim and Andrea began doing business in Nebraska as Smith Music Omaha in 2019. Our initial plan was to deal in used student instruments and accessories and quickly discovered that in addition to the large amount of available functional gear, there was an even larger amount of non-functional gear that also deserved a second life. That lead to the creation of Green Music. We continued to deal in used instruments but also started upcycling instruments, accessories, and sheet music into art pieces and gifts.
We are both originally from Minnesota and earned our bachelor degrees in music from North Dakota State University. Andrea earned her masters degree in oboe performance from the University of Nebraksa-Omaha. Tim currently works as a butcher and Andrea is a music educator and performer. We like to spend our spare time cooking, reading, playing board games, and hanging out with our dog and five cats.
